WEATHERING THE ECONOMIC STORM

The beautiful thing about running your own web business is that
you can set up multiple revenue streams. With pundits
prophesying a nasty economic downturn, those with multiple
income streams may well be protected than those without. Better
still, those whose income streams originate in a range of
countries are doubly protected.

Think of the possibilities with regards to an ecommerce site --
sell products, generate leads, generating income through
affiliate programs and advertising ... the list goes on.

For example; As a web developer, your options are even more extensive -- you
can sell sites, consult, develop sites, sell domains, host
sites, register domains, market sites, write content ... and on
it goes.

Running a web business is often seen as a business you do before
you get a real job. The people who think that? Well, we call them
the Dopey People from the 80's.

The biggest problem I see with web businesses that don't succeed
is simply that the people running those businesses don't take
them seriously enough. Imagine that you spent as much time
completely focused on your web business as "normal" people do in
their boring 8-hour a day jobs (after a 1-hour commute).

Now's the time to focus on your business, perhaps to diversify
the income streams and ride out what could be a nasty economic
storm. There's no better place to be than in front of your
computer selling your goods and services across the world.
